很久没有真正写有关工作上的经历了,在这里工作没有什么大的起伏,如果说起工作上的故事,我想各位必定打哈欠!哈!
上星期,太太大伤风。我给她感染了,这几天也周身不适,伤风起来了。伤风一般来说都是家常便饭,芝麻小事。以前在吉隆坡工作时,那里有什么看病或拿病假,还不是要上班,一边工作一边包“云吞”。在纽西兰这里,又有不同的处境,如果你觉得你身体不适,只要打个电话给上司告假,就可以不必上班,也不必拿医生MC Letter之类的东西,老板靠的只是“信赖”一字。虽然在文明国度有文明的待遇,这些设施有时还是给一些不文明的野人滥用。
昨天早晨起来,一夜的伤风鼻塞把身体搞得软弱无力,心里挣扎了很久到底要不要告假休息,最后还是征服不了自己,愿劳的回到工作岗位去,不过不同的是,公司提供remote access,我只是在家上班(working from home)而已!哈!在大马工作了多年,早已给那些非文明的惯例洗了脑!要像kiwi那样正大光明的拿病假,可能好要一段长时间接受这里另一轮的文明“洗脑”。

会不会有条法律说明雇主被禁止逼“生病”员工回公司赶工?

I work with Australian, we used to pratice this culture, when they are sick not more than 2 days, no need medical note from doctor.
then .. when Aussie work in Malaysia, they abuse this welfare .. next year onwards management decided to change policy, anyday not turn up to work must be proven.

not everyone is that civilized. some people in NZ also abuse that practice.
about that company that you mentioned, I think the management should just reprimand those slackers instead of imposing blanket policy to all employee. I always called this is lazy management style.
